Description

Traditional hat in rib. A folded brim is knitted in place on the hat so that the hat
keeps its shape in use. The pattern includes 2 different options for
the crown decreases, either star decreases or cross decreases.

Sizes: 1 - 3 years (4 - 8 years) 10 years - adult

Measurements:
Hat laid flat is approx.: 13 (15.5) 17 cm wide
Fits head circumference: 45 – 49 (48 – 54) 53 – 59 cm

Yarn:
My Fine Wool from Gepardgarn (50 g = 115 metres)
Kid Seta from Gepardgarn (25 g = 210 metres)

Yarn amount:

Gauge:
34 stitches in rib = 10 cm
Ribbing is difficult to measure the gauge on, but keep in mind that the hat should be
elastic and firm so that it sits well on the head. If you knit loosely even though you have gone down in
needle size, it is better to go down a size in stitch count instead, but
follow the length measurements given for the correct size

Suggested needle size: 3 mm

Needles:
Double-pointed needles and 40 cm circular needle, 3 mm
